What is Krill Oil?
Krill oil provides a source of fatty acids that comes from a deep-water marine planktonic crustacean. It is a rich source of the omega 3 fatty acids EPA and DHA which contributes to the maintenance of normal blood pressure, normal blood triglyceride levels, and the normal function of the heart. DHA also contributes to maintenance of normal brain function normal vision.
Krill oil can be difficult to find in the diet alone as it can only be absorbed by eating large quantities of oily fish. Supplementing is an ideal way to ensure you are obtaining the right levels of this vital nutrient.
